Greece - September 4 - Athens to Santorini

We got an early start and walked to the Athens capitol building to watch the changing of the guard ceremony at the tomb of the unknown soldier. It was both solemn and impressive. Then, a short flight to the Island of Santorini and a rental car to our hotel...which...was...amazing! Apparently, they were not swamped (European tourist season is primarily in August), so they gave us a triple upgrade to a Suite! It was...well...sweet. The highlight of the day, however, was dinner at Armeni Tavern, a small seafood restaurant that is only accessible by boat. We knew about it because Kendall and Drew went there during their honeymoon and recommended it highly. I recommend it highly as well. The seafood was delicious, and the owner and staff were delightful. Incredible experience all around.
