Cornwall - July 30 - Lynton & Lynmouth

We set off early this morning - by car - headed for Cornwall. Didn't take long at all to get used to driving on the left side of the street again, but the one-lane, "two-way", country roads in between the 10 foot hedges is an adventure at ever twist and turn. En route to Lynton (which is actually part of Devon, not Cornwall), we stopped in Winchester for a quick bite and a quick look at the Winchester Cathedral. (NOTE: We did a full tour of the cathedral the last time we were here.) We called an audible and took a detour to Glastonbury, where we hiked to the top of the Glastonbury Mor to see the view and the tower atop the hill. According to legend, King Arthur is buried here. Upon arrival in Lynton, we checked into a charming little B&B at the top of the hill - the very aptly named Highcliffe House. Our hosts - Richard and Robert - were fabulous! We took a walk/hike to/around the Valley of the Rocks before dinner and then had an amazing dinner at the Oak Room - believe it or not, a Tapas restaurant in a UK coastal village. Every dish was excellent, and the Lemon Catalan Brulee is one of the top three desserts I have ever eaten in my life!
